OTTAWA - Julie Gregoire, the 27-year-old cancer patient Citizen readers helped send home to New Brunswick, has died, surrounded by her friends and family.
“We would just like to thank ALL of you for bringing Julie home so that she could spend time with family and friends,” her family said in a statement relayed by Global Angel, a charity that helps arrange medical flights.

February 2007, an 11 year old boy from Toronto was diagnosed with leukemia.
All avenues for treatment have been exhausted and Krishtan is now treated palliatively.
Krishtan's special wish was to travel to Guyana (his homeland) for a visit with his family during the Christmas Season. Global Angel made this wish come true in December 2008!

Garrett Alberta bound, Community comes through with ride for ailing boy.

Mercy flight paid for by organization

An organization outside of Canada paid for Robert Lewis's flight home from Thailand, says the president of Angels of Flight. Gail Courneyea said she could not divulge the name or location of the organization that brought the 45 year old man back to Canada.
