  1. Christine Connelly & Ryan one year later!!!

    Ryan Smith proposes to Christine Connelly during a break in the first period of OHL action between Peterborough Petes and the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. The couple were in a car accident in B.C. last year and were airlifted home by the Peterborough based charity Global Angel to do rehab in Toronto.  Christine is still paralyzed, but the couple is expecting a baby girl by the end of the month.   2. Global Angel paid all travel expenses so 4 yr old Lindsay, ON child can receive treatment in Florida.

    Thanks to Global Angel and its supporters, on September 29, we took Xander and his Dad to Florida and now after 2 months in Florida for treatment, they are returning home to Canada. Xander is only 4 yrs old and is receiving proton therapy to treat his spinal tumors . Although, the cost of treatment (over $ 100,000.00 ) is covered by the Ontario government, Xander’s family did not have the financial resources to fly to Florida and remain there for two months.   3. 8 month old Baby Alexander is back home

    On Oct. 31@16:15 hrs., Baby Alexander, 8 months (Oct 1st) arrived by air ambulance at Toronto Pearson Airport from Athens Greece and transported by ground ambulance to SickKids. His story touched the hearts of persons across the country resulting in donations to cover the cost of flight repatriation with a critical care pediatric team to Toronto from Greece.     September 17, 2012 -Justin’s family and friends express their appreciation to all those who donated to help Justin get home and to those who supported them through this very difficult time. Story as written by his brother Scott- My brother Justin Mason was involved in a motorbike accident whilst traveling in Goa, India. He suffered a severe head injury and fell into a deep coma.
